Company History

Our humble beginnings can be traced back to 1985 when an art graduate from Southwest Texas State University decided there needed to be more creativity and fun in the apparel industry. Scott Jackson started Outhouse Designs by designing his own unique shirts, contracting out the printing, and selling them out of the trunk of his car. Sales for Outhouse Designs grew so rapidly that Scott quickly brought on several employees to help him and added a retail location in a Houston mall. This growth quickly led to a national sales force as Scott's Brain Waves designs took the nation by storm. Our contract printers could no longer keep up with our demand so it was time to do our own printing.

Outhouse Designs moved to it's fourth and current warehouse in 1991. We soon added additional artists, presses and sales reps, and we continued to produce national best selling lines. As our sales continued to grow, we seized the opportunity to diversify our product offerings. We branched out into Custom printing soon thereafter, which led to the establishment of an embroidery division to enhance our Custom apparel. In 1995 we also took the opportunity for further diversification by starting a golf apparel division.

Outhouse Designs prides itself on being at the forefront of our industry in both artwork and quality. We continue to pursue new markets with unique and fun art, and have often been the first in the marketplace with a new idea or concept. Outhouse Designs will continue this tradition well into the future through our desire to develop satisfied customers by continually providing unique, high quality products and delivering them timely to all our valued customers.

Operations

Outhouse Designs operates a state of the art facility proudly located in Austin, Texas. Our 22,000 square foot warehouse gives us the capability to service virtually any size customer, from the smallest "mom and pop" operation to the largest department stores. This capability is further enhanced by our equipment. Our assortment of presses include three M&R Challenger 8 color, 12 station automatics and one 6 station Bluemax semi-automatic press. Additionally, we purchased a new M&R Gauntlet 6 color, 8 station automatic that was delivered in mid November 2002.

We also feature a highly talented inhouse graphic design department. Our team of artists strive to remain on the cutting edge of the market and technology. The results of this commitment can be seen not only through the "classic" lines found in our catalogs, but also from the satisfied customers who continue to request our designs to develop their own custom merchandise.

Our greatest resource however is our people. We bring 20 years of printing experience to every customer we service.
